Fly Of The Month

Its the perfect time of year to fish giant mouse patterns for giant hungry kick ass brown trout and although I often turn to the "Lenny." KP's Rat fly is quickly becoming a favorite for two reasons. One it's and effective mouse pattern and it's easier to throw than some (yes that's two). Two, it rides hook point up so its easy to throw it into the thick stuff without as much caution. He also has a similar pattern called the Five O'Clock Shadow which is a little more trout friendly with a stinger hook. But I'm a sucker for the originals. Kevin Price has had a fly selected for Fly Of The Month once before and its no surprise to see another one.
