Fishing Beer Review: Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA
Notes From Website
Clocking in at 15-20% ABV and 120 IBUs, it's easy to see why we call this beer THE HOLY GRAIL for hopheads! 120 Minute IPA is boiled for a full two hours while being continuously hopped with high-alpha American hops, then dry-hopped daily in the fermenter for a month and aged for another month on whole-leaf hops.

MY TAKE
This beer isn't that easy to get so even though I am not a huge fan of serious IPA's I had to give it a try. Its a very strong beer coming in at around 18%. The only downside is that this is a $12 beer at a good price and no matter how good it turns out to be that is still a lot.
This beer pours out a dark amber color and has a nice head on it as well that dissipates quickly. It has a pleasant smell to it and the taste is impressive. I was kind of expecting this to be a little bitter but that was definitely not the case. It tastes good and manages to be be smooth while still being very hoppy. I would love to say that I would try this again because it really is good, but Im just not sure that a beer is worth the price tag of some of these more expensive offerings.
