This is one of Fran Betters lesser known patterns. This fly is originally tied with Muskrat dubbing but with the availability now of good commercial dubbings I just use a standard spikey rust colored dubbing. Fran claimed this fly as an imitation of a wide variety of insects and it certainly still produces for north country fisherman. - Matt D
