A long hiatus. But tying resumes
I wanted to apologize to everyone for the lack of content. I have been out of town for a couple weeks recovering from the first of two knee surgeries. I did manage to fish a bit and Frank was awesome to pick up some of the slack. The above flies are a small handful of Borcher's Drakes I spun up today. Borcher's are a popular fly in Michigan for the hendrickson hatch and I'm excited to be going there soon with my old man. Recipe and a pic from my last two weeks below.
Hook: Orvis 4641 #14 Big Eye Dry Fly
Thread: Uni 8/0 - Camel
Tail: Stacked Moose Hair
Abdomen: Turkey Biot - Cinnamon
Rib: X-Small Wire - Copper
Thorax: Superfine Dry Dubbing - Brown

Hackle: Grizzly Hackle
