Fishing Beer Review: Ballast Point "Victory at Sea Porter" with Vanilla and Coffee

Notes From Website
Our Victory at Sea Imperial Porter is a bold, smooth brew with just the right amount of sweetness. We infused this robust porter with whole vanilla beans and San Diego’s own Caffe Calabria coffee beans. The subtle roasted notes and minimal acidity of the cold brewed coffee, balances perfectly with the sweet caramel undertones of the malt, creating a winning combination for your palate.

MY TAKE

Another 10% beer, hard not to like that unless you're trying to get shit done. It's listed as a limited run beer but it has been around for a while making rounds and winning awards. Ive had this beer with a different label in the past and I was just as impressed than. Its a dark, dark, dark beer with a dark brown head and a heavy coffee and peaty scent. You can taste the coffee at first and I felt like I could taste the vanilla a little better as the beer got warmer. If you like dark beers I would hammer a few of these down. You won't be dissapointed.
