Fishing Beer Review : Bell's Brewery, Inc - Smitten Golden Rye Ale
Notes From Website
Drawn from one of our oldest recipes, Smitten Ale began as part of a series of rye beers at our Eccentric Café. The combination of sharp citrus & resinous flavors from the hops with the earthy, rustic overtones of the rye malt contribution yield an interesting take on the American Pale Ale.
MY THOUGHTS
This is a cloudy golden beer with a very light taste and smell. I think the label does this beer justice. It is definitely bitter which I think makes up for the light flavor and smell. I think this is a pretty good beer. It's at least above average and I could see myself drinking a handful of them. I drink a bunch of these beers I review from the glass and from the bottle and this one was significantly better from the glass.
